Who needs dentures?
People who have lost several or all of their teeth, and who want to restore chewing, speech and appearance.
Dentures are also used during healing after extraction, or as a stage before implant treatment.
- Restores chewing and speech
- Custom-fitted for comfort
- Follow-up adjustments included
How the procedure works
- 1We examine your mouth and take impressions of your gums and jaw.
- 2We choose the colour and shape of the teeth to suit your face.
- 3A wax trial fitting lets us check the bite and appearance before the final denture is made.
- 4The finished denture is fitted and adjusted, with follow-up visits to keep it comfortable.
Pain and recovery
Expect a short adjustment period. Speech and eating may feel strange at first, and some soreness is common.
Practise eating soft foods and reading aloud. Tell us if a spot becomes sore, because small adjustments usually solve it.
Price range
Dentures are priced per arch after your consultation, depending on whether they are full or partial. Ask us on WhatsApp for the current guide.

Before and after care
- Remove dentures at night and clean them every day.
- Never use boiling water or harsh cleaners. Keep them in water when they are not worn.
- Replace or reline them when we advise, as gums and bone change over time.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get used to dentures?
Most people adjust within a few weeks, although this varies. Regular adjustments and practice with soft foods speed up the process.
How long do dentures last?
Dentures usually need relining or replacement every few years, because the gums and bone change over time.
Can dentures be fitted on the same day as an extraction?
In some cases an immediate denture can be fitted, depending on the teeth being removed. We will advise during your consultation.
Are dentures better than implants?
Implants are fixed and stable, while dentures are removable and more affordable. We will help you compare the options for your situation.
Can I eat normally with dentures?
You start with soft foods and build up gradually. Cutting food into small pieces helps while you adjust.
