Who needs zirconia crowns & veneers?
A crown may be advised for a broken or heavily filled tooth, a tooth after root canal treatment, or a tooth that is worn down.
Veneers may suit people with chipped, worn or discoloured front teeth who want a more even smile.
- Restores strength and shape
- Natural colour matching
- Durable materials for everyday chewing
How the procedure works
- 1We examine the tooth and the bite, and take X-rays and impressions or a digital scan.
- 2The tooth is reshaped to make room for the crown or veneer, under local anaesthesia.
- 3A temporary cover protects the tooth while the permanent one is made.
- 4The final restoration is checked for fit and colour, then bonded or cemented in place.
Pain and recovery
The tooth may be sensitive after preparation for a few days. Chew on the other side until the final restoration is fitted.
Contact us if the bite feels high or the tooth stays painful, because a small adjustment usually solves it.
Price range
Crowns and veneers are priced per tooth after your consultation, because the material and the work needed differ. Ask us on WhatsApp for the current guide.

Before and after care
- Brush around the crown or veneer gently and clean between your teeth.
- Avoid biting hard objects such as ice or nut shells.
- Attend regular checkups so the margins can be checked.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a zirconia crown last?
A well-fitted zirconia crown can last many years. Good hygiene and avoiding hard habits, such as chewing ice, help it last longer.
What is the difference between a crown and a veneer?
A crown covers the whole tooth, while a veneer covers only the front surface. Your dentist will advise which suits your tooth.
Will my crown look natural?
Yes. We match the colour and shape to your neighbouring teeth, so the restoration blends in when you smile.
Do crowns need a root canal first?
Not always. A root canal is needed only when the nerve is infected, and we will tell you if it is required.
Do I need more than one visit for a crown?
Usually two visits: one to prepare the tooth and fit a temporary, and one to fit the final crown after it has been made.
The information on this site is general and is not a substitute for an examination by a dentist. Treatment decisions should be made after a consultation. In a medical emergency, contact emergency services or go to the nearest hospital.
